Serving the Community
Event distributing 77 bags of food to the most needed in a community club in Barrio La Hispaniola

We help families in the Dominican Republic with medical supplies, therapy centers, and community support to restore dignity and health to those in need.
Our organization was founded in 2005 by Alex Benjamin, beginning with a mission to support education in Haiti. We partnered with schools in Tabarre and Mirebalais, providing essential resources and care for the children there. After years of service and meaningful impact, circumstances shifted, and we made the difficult decision to conclude our work in Haiti.
In 2018, I, Jeanette Pepin-Benjamin, traveled to the Dominican Republic to commemorate what would have been my mother Julia Mercedes de León Compres's 100th birthday. Although she had passed away many years earlier, I wanted to honor her legacy of compassion and generosity. To celebrate her life, I prepared 100 bags of food, each filled with a variety of essential items, and distributed them in Los Pilones, the community in Guauci (Moca) where my mother grew up.
That experience reignited my passion to serve others. Soon after, we began sending wheelchairs, food, adult diapers, medicine, and nutritional supplements to those in need. What began as a single act of remembrance has grown into a continuing mission to make a difference in Moca and the surrounding areas.

We honor every person’s worth by providing care that restores independence and supports daily life.
We work through local clinics, churches, and leaders to deliver help that lasts and strengthens communities.
We steward resources with care—matching real needs to practical solutions and measuring impact.
We support families and local partners across the Dominican Republic with practical care—therapy supplies, mobility equipment, and training that improves daily life.
In Moca, many older adults and residents living with disabilities lack access to rehabilitation, physical therapy, and adequate medical support. Families do their best, but specialized care is urgently needed.
We are currently identifying a centrally accessible location. Total project cost will be shared in the full proposal; we are registered as a 501(c)(3) in the United States (Florida and New York) and as an NGO in the Dominican Republic.
We coordinate stateside support—logistics, donations, and outreach— to resource our partners and families on the ground.
Your support helps families in the Dominican Republic heal, grow, and regain dignity. There are many ways to get involved—choose what fits your passion and resources.
